Drone Startup Mentorship Program Start-ups receive a comprehensive mentorship support and services to help with developing and launching their drone business. The program offers entrepreneurs and early-stage founders from all over the world access to proprietary curriculum to business planning, UAS operations, UAV construction, technical hands-on training and know-how in designing, prototyping, ground station control, firmware and software, communication systems, debugging and simulations, testing, manufacturing, supply chain resources, and marketing. Mentorship includes step-by-step technical process for building a complete commercial and autonomous multirotor or VTOL drone. The UAV applications will include but not limited to agriculture drones, delivery drones (medical or food supplies), mapping and surveying drones, and drones operating in harsh and difficult environments for data gathering. The program has four modules. Technical Module: Online Stage, Length: 32 hours Drone Startup Mentorship Program – We will hold one-on-one or group meetings to understand project needs and requirement. We will provide detailed, step-by-step start to finish process building commercial drone professionally. Technical mentorship includes software and hardware requirements, customization, integration, configuration, and implementation of drone applications in a real-world environment as well as simulated testing and debugging customized applications. Topics: – Drone Design and Construction – Drone Firmware and Software – Communications Systems – Ground Control Station – Debugging and Simulation – Testing UAS Operations Module: In-Field Stage, Length: 6 to 12 hours Topics: – Flight Mission Planning – Flight Planning – Flight Review – RPAS Certication Training Business Module: On-Site Stage, Length: 8 hours Topics: – Project working space in Vancouver, BC, Canada. – Business Plan – Business model – Marketing Rules and Regulations Module: Length: 4 hours Topics: – Transport Canada – USA – International Drone Kits: Drone Kits available for drone construction at an additional cost. Price depends on the drone hardware and software requirement, payload, and sensors. Simulation’s topics can be taken without the hardware. Certificates: CDAC will award Certificates after completing the program.
